Problem
The vinyl composition tile (VCT) in a large retail store in Southfield, MI was dirty, worn, and damaged. Our client wanted the VCT removed and the concrete slab underneath polished.
Solution
First, we demoed (removed) the VCT tiles. The concrete underneath was covered with tile glue. Our mechanical grinding process virtually erased both the glue and any residual surface damage from the tile removal. We also filled the concrete joints. With the concrete completely prepped, we achieved the final step of the restoration process, that is, we polished the concrete to achieve the beautiful, medium gloss finish you see in these images.
Our client was very satisfied with the results. To learn more, visit our Concrete Polishing page.
